Mike Tongue & The Grooves is a live covers band based in Greater Manchester and we specialise in Weddings, Private Parties, Corporate & Charity Fundraising functions. We guarantee to fill the dance floor!

STAGE SOUND SYSTEM

We come complete with own our own state of the art PA system comprising of a Yamaha powered mixing desk and fully powered RCF 1400W ART 712-A speakers.

FULL LIGHTING RIG

Our professional lighting setup includes: Blue LED effects, Par Cans with Sound-to-Light Sync and Dance Floor Swirling Disco Laser Lights. Not forgetting the Mother Of All Backdrops (MOAB)

INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE

Does one of your guests sing? We always encourage audience participation so come up and join us on stage!

DJ EQUIPMENT

Keep your party rocking even when Mike Tongue & The Grooves are not rocking the stage iPod deck through the PA with over 5000 songs comes as standard!.

FLEXIBLE TO SUIT YOU

Our standard service includes 2 x 45 minutes sets, however we are flexible to suit your specific requirements. Special wedding song that you would like us to play? Not a problem for Mike Tongue & The Grooves.

MFT

LEAD VOCALS

MFT is our lead singer and band front man. Occasionally seen with Go Pro strapped to head or chest, he's always keen to capture the "live vibe" footage. Just don't ask him what the "F" stands for?

Matt

DRUMS

Matt is the heartbeat of Mike Tongue & The Grooves and knows how to hit a drum! Ear plugs are recommended when Matt is in the room...

The Hedge

GUITAR

Civil engineer by day, guitar slayer by night. The Hedge brings the rock in our rock'n'roll.

ELTON

SAX

Elton is the 'midfield maestro' of the band and manages to juggle keys and sax to keep us 'on the ball'

Biography

Mike Tongue & The Grooves are a live cover band based in Greater Manchester who specialise in rock and pop covers. Formed in 2007, we have played a large number of Manchester events and live gigs across the North West. We play a mixture of contemporary and classic, all instantly recognizable songs, with a good beat that is guaranteed to fill the dance floor for the whole night as only a live band can! We play in local pubs in South Manchester and Cheshire, and regularly take bookings for private parties, events and Weddings.
